The State of Maryland Literacy Association has become well known for the many superb conferences that we have hosted since 1961.  The organization has strived to provide the most current and respected authorities in literacy for keynote and featured sessions.  Authors from all genres have also been part of our informative conferences. They are part of the featured sessions as well as special events.  We have prided ourselves in sharing local talent as well. Many educators across the state of Maryland have been part of our concurrent sessions sharing their knowledge, skills and refreshing ideas with fellow educators and conference attendees.

Portions of our conferences are sponsored by a wide variety of educational venders throughout the nation.  There are too many to list, but their contributions include notable speakers, special events, published authors, conference giveaways, books for our young authors, and some financial backing.
